The windows on this home were made watertight through the use of sticky window flashing, but the homeowner wished to have a more prominent white trim to add to the curb appeal. Existing window frame was already white vinyl, but was quite puny. To make it pop, I like to build out the trim with 2×4 lumber and then wrap it in white commercial grade aluminum coil stock. After a 100% silicone seal around the inside perimeter as well as the outer, a 100% watertight seal is still achieved, and that window trim now pops!
