Becoming “maintenance-free” seems to be a theme with most of what I do. That’s what customers want. Pay a little extra to begin with and reap the benefits of minimal work in the future.
This home in Edgerton had tongue & groove vertical wood siding on all gable ends (three total). To eliminate the need to paint once every few years, I matched the look with this high quality TimberCrest board & batten siding (7″ face). It carries a lifetime warranty and has enough depth (1/2″) to provide great shadows and a true authentic look of actual cedar board and batten siding. I swear, you could almost get splinters from this stuff! All you have to do is take a garden hose to it for cleaning once in awhile – no paint brush or scraper required.
I completed three of the gable ends in just under a day and a half with a total cost of right around 700 bucks (includes materials, labor, and tax). Imagine, never having to paint again…aaaaahhhhhhh.
