UltraDeck Composite Deck Refurbish (Triumph - Pecan) - Screened In Porch with Barn Rail Door - Hicksville, Ohio

NEW LIFE!  This deck was in great shape, but the homeowner was weary of staining and maintaining the finish.  My solution is to replace all wood deck boards with low maintenance composite decking, along with new matching post sleeves.  Once all old deck boards have been removed, I inspect all structural elements and repair/replace what is necessary.  The old joists were covered in a butyl deck flashing to seal and prevent any rot from occurring.  The new composite deck boards require a minimum 12″ OCS to resist any sagging.  The original joists were spaced 16″ apart, so new treated joists were added at 8″ intervals.  Since they were only surface-mounted, the old posts were replaced with new treated posts and tied directly to the already-existing concrete footer.  New ULTRADECK TRIUMPH* composite deck boards were fastened with nifty hidden fasteners for a clean look.  Post sleeves finish the look and make a sharp landing point for the stainless cable rail system.  Finally, the screened-in porch was upgraded with new fiberglass screen and a couple solid screen doors, one of which is operated by a nifty barn rail sliding system.  All in all, this deck has a new 20 year life!  Call if I can update your existing deck – estimates are always FREE! 419-212-3200
