EASE OF ENTRY – We all know that it can be difficult and sometimes dangerous to step over a tub wall for a daily shower. This is an option to make shower entry a breeze. The walk-in shower insert by MAAX will fit in a standard 60″ tub alcove perfectly. There were some minor rough plumbing modifications to make, along with adding new shut-off valves and moving the drain line a bit. The walls are faux tile with a realistic look and feel, but minus the necessary maintenance and upkeep of tile and grout. The shower floor is set in a mortar bed for years of durability. This unit comes with one corner shelf, but extras are sold separately, if desired. Faucet is a high quality Moen. The homeowner decided to have a shower curtain rod installed rather than a sliding shower door due to ease of cleaning. This is a great transformation for a two-day job!
