MUSTY SMELL NO MORE!  This small home had been foreclosed upon by the bank and sat empty for a few months; all-the-while, the roof was leaking into the living space creating a damp, musty smell throughout.  The first step in rehabbing this place was to remove all of the old carpet/pad, which dated back to the mid-80s.  There were some minor subfloor repairs to be made before the new floorcovering could be installed.  Throughout most of the home, I installed a nice, affordable #Tarkett wood plank flooring called Creston Oak – Golden (25 Year Residential Warranty).  Prior to the wood flooring, a good moisture barrier must be installed to ensure that moisture from the crawl space will not cause swelling and separation at the seams.  This flooring, although nice looking and affordable, does NOT do well with moisture.  It is, however, perfect for bedrooms, hallways, and other living spaces that will not be exposed to water.  For the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room, I chose a nice, durable sheet vinyl glueless flooring by #Tarkett called Harbor Village Rustic Mineral (10 year warranty).  It is completely waterproof, looks great, and usually costs just $1 per square foot.  In addition to the flooring throughout the house, I also replaced the dishwasher, refrigerator, two vanity tops/faucets, and a couple ceiling fans.  Add in the roof replacement, and this home is sealed up tight and is really freshened up!  How can I help your home?  419-212-3200
