MIXED BAG KITCHEN REMODEL – The main portion of this kitchen remodel was the removal of the old formica backsplash and installation of a sharp subway tile with jet black grout.  To start, Cutting Edge Countertops out of Toledo, OH (highly recommended) installed new stone counter tops.  Next step was the removal of the old backsplash, including a lot of scraping and sanding to remove all remnants of the old adhesive.  Then, I like to prime the area to consolidate any dusty loose particles and give a good base for the thinset mortar.  After the tile installation, I like to use a pre-sealed sanded grout for extra durability and stain resistance.  The results are magnificent!  In addition to the backsplash, all cabinet hardware was replaced with a modern black.  The old dishwasher was replaced with a new stainless Whirlpool model, and I also swapped out the old range hood.  Finally, there were multiple light fixtures that were upgraded.  In addition, the living room, hallway, and kitchen received new solid pine baseboard trim.  At some point in the near future, the homeowner has contracted to have the cabinets professionally painted white – it will look like an entirely new kitchen!  Call if I can help your dream kitchen become a reality – ESTIMATES ARE ALWAYS FREE.  419-212-3200
