One layer was removed on this cottage on Hamilton Lake, Indiana. We installed high-quality Duration shingles (Owens Corning – Estate Gray color) which carry a lifetime warranty and 130 MPH wind warranty. These shingles are the best in the biz! We also installed new SureVent low profile ridge vent (also a quality Owens Corning product) to allow the attic to breathe. Finally, we removed two old leaky skylights, framed in/sheeted the openings, and shingled right over top. Once all is said and done, we will move to the inside to insulate and patch the skylight openings with a matched cedar carsiding. These folks are good to go, and can now enjoy their cottage next summer without fear of a leaky roof!
