FRESH LOOK – Due to the fact that these existing Merilatt cabinets were in excellent shape, the homeowner decided to keep them and focus on other areas for a new look. We removed old rail trim and installed 3 1/4″ oak crown on all uppers. The old 1980s laminate counter top was updated with new high resolution laminate (finish is Crema Mascarello). New high-quality stainless drop-in sink is by Franke – faucet is a Delta Stainless. As with every kitchen remodel, I always install new quarter-turn shut-off valves, supply lines, and traps. All old cabinet knobs/pulls were updated with a new look. In addition, I replaced the old over-sink light fixture with a trendy Westwood Oil-Rubbed Bronze pendant light (Hampton Bay). The old range hood exhaust fan was not in working order, so I custom installed a stainless model into the old wood trim work. Finally, the old dishwasher was replaced with a KitchenAide stainless model. I can remodel as little or as much as you want to update the look of your kitchen.
