CHANGE IS GOOD – Normally, I insist on exclusively installing TimberCrest vinyl siding, but I made an exception for this home. The homeowners found a color that they liked (Castlemore Gray), which was only offered in the Harbor Ridge line. All things considered, this is also a good quality vinyl siding product. Features include an amazing 50 year fade warranty (which is actually better than TimberCrest’s 25 year fade warranty), a 192 MPH wind rating, and a realistic woodgrain texture with low-gloss finish. Harbor Ridge has a 1/2″ reveal (vs 3/4″ for TimberCrest), and I must say that the hooking mechanism on the TimberCrest is far superior to this brand. When installed correctly, however, Harbor Ridge will be very secure. Furthermore, I really like the look of the dark color as it contrasts nicely with the white trim around the buildings – excellent color choice by these guys! With this job, we removed an existing 1990s vinyl siding (which was very brittle) and installed a nice tight house wrap to aid in water run-off and wind penetration. Two buildings (the home and a detached garage) were addressed. We did not touch the overhang trim or any window or door trim as they were already maintenance-free. Are you ready for a new look on your home? I have a flat per-square rate (materials and labor), which includes all necessary siding, wrap, trim materials, caulk, mounting blocks, and fasteners, plus I will install new light fixtures for free. The rate does increase slightly for premium darker colors, if you wish. All you have to do to get the ball rolling is give me a shout for your FREE ESTIMATE: 419-212-3200.
