This flooring honestly appears to be of the ceramic tile nature, but it is a thick, heavy duty vinyl, which is tons cheaper.  It’s a product by Impact Flooring Solutions, and this particular style is called “multi-stone.”  It is glueless, so no need for messy, tacky linoleum glue.  Just lay it out, trim the edges allowing 1/4″ minimum for expansion, and install quarter round (loosely) to clean up the edges.

For this particular job, the homeowner wished to install the new floor right over the old linoleum in a bathroom, laundry room, and nearby kitchen.  Removal of the toilet and pedestal sink was necessary in the bathroom.  After the quarter round was installed, I caulked the seam to seal the gaps and fill the holes.  The homeowner will apply a light coat of paint to cover up the caulk and nail holes.  Looks great for a short 6.5 hour day.  This linoleum runs around $1.19/sq.ft. regular price.  Occasionally, it will go on sale for 99 cents.
