Deck Refurbish – UltraDeck Composite Decking – Hamilton, Indiana

UltraDeck Composite DeckingNOBODY likes to stain or treat a traditional wood deck, and that’s a fact.  Well, here is the answer for a homeowner who wants to spend his time ENJOYING his deck, rather than MAINTAINING it.  This product is called UltraDeck from the Midwest Manufacturing Company (available at Menards).  It is made by specially blending plastic and wood fibers to create a decking that resists splintering, cracking, rotting, and insect damage, over a traditional treated wood deck surface.  In fact, the wood deck boards that we removed on this job were actually in decent shape, but the homeowner was tired of painting the surface year in and year out.  The only maintenance one must perform on this deck is an occasional spray down with the hose once every year or two – THAT’S IT!  This product comes with a ten year warranty, and 90% of the initial cost is regained in the savings of time and maintenance products over the years.  Did I mention that the boards are reversible?  They have a natural wood grain texture on one side, and a straight-line traction on the other.  I tell ya, this deck is TOP NOTCH!

Keep in mind, we did not remove any of the structure – just the deck boards and skirting – so labor cost was low.  If you’ll also notice, we used sticky window flashing on all the joists to cover and seal any cracks and/or holes to protect them from any further water penetration.  Give me a call if I can refurbish YOUR deck – the cost is surprisingly affordable: 419-212-3200
