Spend more time ENJOYING your porch rather than maintaining it! Undoubtedly, you’ve spent countless hours staining, painting, or waterproofing your deck or porch. If you’re tired of this wasted time, then it’s time to upgrade to composite decking! For this particular job, we simply removed all the treated wood deck boards (including floor, hand rails, and steps), and then we replaced them with NorthDex composite deck boards. NorthDex low maintenance composite decking is a blend of wood fiber and polyethylene designed to reduce the amount of time and labor spent maintaining your deck every year. NorthDex features a realistic wood grain on both sides, and only requires cleaning with a mild detergent/water twice a year! Keep in mind that we did not disturb the structure, balusters, or rails on this porch, but rather the areas that take all the wear, tear, and direct UV rays from the sun. The color match is almost spot-on! This process was completed in a single day and the labor cost is quite affordable. Give me a shout if YOU are ready to go MAINTENANCE-FREE on your deck: 419-212-3200.

We have a cedar northdex maintenance free deck that was installed around 2009 and it is very faded and has lots of mildew all over that I am unable to get off. Are we able to stain this decking to get some color back?
Hi Nancy! I am not familiar with this brand of maintenance free decking, although I do know that some composite deck material can indeed be stained. I would do a google search to get some information, or speak with a local hardware store that sells that specific product.
