NICE TOUCH!  This 1960s home was desperately in need of some updates.  To get the most bang for your buck, the kitchen and bathroom are the best two rooms to consider.  For starters, we removed the old dated linoleum and built up the floor 3/4″ before installing 12″ ceramic tile.  This extra density (3/4″ subfloor, 1/4″ plywood, 1/2″ cement board) will allow very little movement (if any) once the ceramic tile is installed, thus preventing cracks and loose tile.  Finally, we hit the bathroom updates, which consisted of a brand new vanity (Pace Milan 30″ – English Saddle), marble top (Imperial Deep Wave – Zion), and high quality Price Pfister faucet (Halifax – Tuscan Bronze).  This particular vanity ensemble will cost you around $600 at Menards.  Also, the toilet was updated to a ADA approved Mansfield Summit (elongated bowl and extra height).  This bathroom looks like a million bucks!
