This room used to serve as a bedroom with a simple standup shower in the corner (see below).  The carpet and paneling was outdated, and the homeowner wished to update the shower and convert the room into a laundry/utility room with a vanity.  We started with priming and painting the walls with white to brighten the room.  The carpet was removed and we installed glueless vinyl flooring with white colonial baseboard trim (nice touch).  New plumbing was run to the locations of the vanity and washer/dryer station.  We installed the new 32″ shower unit with a partition wall to conceal the plumbing.  Next comes a new bathroom exhaust fan and dryer vent to the outside, wiring for a new vanity light fixture and GFCI, and installation of the washer/dryer.  We’re about there!
