This bathroom in Hicksville, Ohio, had a 4×4 tile wainscot all around, as well as in the shower alcove (including the ceiling). The shower was leaking profusely into the adjacent kitchen, and the homeowner wished to have a total update. The installation consisted of a Lyons 32 x 32 shower unit, featuring super glossy acrylic surface for easy cleaning, spacious inset shelves for storage, and a hidden waterproof flange system between panels (which will never require caulk). I always set the base in a sturdy mortar bed and attach the surround with both screws and adhesive to the wall studs. My labor price includes all new shut-off valves and plumbing from the floor up. All 4×4 tile was removed, and a sharp looking white ship lap was installed to hide the drywall imperfections. The new toilet is an American Standard Titan raised-height toilet, featuring an insulated tank (to prevent condensation) and a 4″ flush valve to prevent clogs. The vanity is a custom barn wood piece built by Carter Krill Woodworking, and was finished off with a nice 12″ vessel sink and matte black Dartford faucet by Karran (Lifetime Warranty). After repairing some major rot around the toilet, the vinyl plank flooring was installed – Shaw Timberidge/Classic Walnut (30 year warranty). Top off the look with a brand new mirror and an industrial black vanity light by Lalia – nice! As always, estimates are FREE. All you have to do is call 419-212-3200.
